Yep key has taken and it's been happily doing updates. What version of game center did they give you?Weirdly it started working the next day but I still sent it off for PC specialist to check!
They noticed that the incorrect version of Game Center was installed, which was the one I’d downloaded from the driver list so maybe that’s the same problem?
That’s exactly the same issue I had though! Sounds like a dumb question and I’m sure you’ve checked but has the Windows product key worked correctly? As I wondered whether this was my issue as I hadn’t noticed the key hadn’t taken. But it wasn’t instant that it fixed the problem so sceptical that this was the full issue.
So the option to turn the backlight on/off is missing from my game center. When it first opens I think I briefly see something about timers appear (greyed out) then it vanishes and all I have is display sections onwards. I'm wondering if it's the keyboard driver being wrong, should it register as a standard PS/2 in device manager? If not I think that might be why it doesn't appear in game center, it doesn't know it exists!I had the same issue on the AMD version of the laptop. I had never used a laptop with a before. I fiddled with the settings in the gaming centre. I set the back light on in EZ switch menu with a 5 min time and it started working. in lighting i picked monochrome and brightness.
Its now worked without issue
