Battlefield 4.... Is it worth it?

I tried it for the first time in a while just a couple of days ago, and I still had awful framerate drops even on low settings, I would much rather go back to BF3 personally, but I don't know if there are any servers left on there

lol, I have to agree with Wozza. BF3 is miles better! Bf4 plays like MOH warfighter not BF3. (if you have played warfighter you will know what i mean)

Hmm. I think once I find a job (I got made redundant on the 20th Dec) I'll get it for the XboxOne. [Gonna buy one when I find a job] :D

Ah that sucks, good luck with the job hunting, but why get an Xbox1 when you have a beast of a PC? xD

If people don't recommend me buying Battlefield 4 for the PC, then I'll get the console. I also want to play Ghosts and Forza 5.

I also miss playing with a mate.

Just as many problems on the console. It's been pretty solid for me for weeks now and I'm really enjoying it.

Of course, having said that, I'll think about it more and consider buying another console.

It's not a must buy.

Stopped playing it and started playing the Hunger Games mode on Minecraft with a few mates instead, infinitely more fun than BF4 and it's a laugh even when you're getting owned. BF4 was just a frustrating experience. I just feel like the major first person shooters take themselves too seriously now at the expense of fun, and surely that's what it's all about.

It had it's problems at first but I love it. Took me a while to get better at it and learn the maps etc but once you do, it's brilliant. Be prepared to pay for premium or the map packs though (only after playing the base game and deciding whether you like it or not.

If anyone wants to join us on it (a few guys from PCS forums), get in touch, Origin ID = TheScutta

I've had no problems at all with it lately and really enjoy the gameplay. I haven't played as much as I'd like lately due to being sucked into the world of Shogun 2 but for a decent multiplayer FPS you can't go wrong with BF4.

I've got a bit fed up with BF4 just recently, but that is due to a series of really poor TDM games where half the players are snipers and half of the rest are playing with DMRs. I tried the Commander mode a bit over the weekend and that was fun, but may try and get some more boot time in on Conquest Large maps in the coming days.

Conquest Large are much more fun than TDM, so much more to do and playing the objective is way better. I never bother with TDM as there's no real end goal, get on the 64 player CQ large and you'll love it mate.

I would recommend NEVER playing TDM. It's not what Battlefield is about. Despite how much PC gamers hate COD, it wins hands down in the TDM stakes. Play conquest or conquest large on a noob server with a max 32 players...it's a bit calmer. 64 players is great if you like it manic.

I can't stand BF4, too many campers, too many issues.
I was at my Uncles house over Christmas and my cousin is a 14 year old COD nerd. One afternoon with him made me remember why I'm never going to play COD again. Mouthy little kids who sweat it out 14 hours a day chatting BS to everybody who doesn't mute them "hey [insertxboxnamehere], your mum said get off your fat [bum] and do some exercise because you're embarrassing yourself" - that sort of thing...
I've not played Forza for a while but I know Forza 2 and 3 were brilliant games.
