Unfortunately not -- you have to get the whole game to try it out. I should also add that it feels very different to BF3 so I wouldn't use that game to judge BF4.
I went for a £10 generic PC controller as the cheapest option. I had a quick go with it last night on the Test Range and once I'd mapped the controls to something I was more comfortable with actually managed to take off in a helo and move around slightly before crashing into the ground. Definitely an improvement over the M+K but a couple of hours more practice needed before I'll take off in a competitive game.

From what I've read on the internet B4 has been having some problems and if I can't run and don't like the game if I buy it, I might regret it. What problems have people been getting, if any?
The last time I got into a helicopter, I crashed it too. Isn't there a map where you can test all the weapons and vehicles out?

There is a Test Map on Battlefield 4 that is quite good.
Personally i haven't had a single problem with Battlefield 3 or 4 i bought it about a month after release.
The only problem i have had is the odd crash but any game has the odd crash.

No problems anymore, don't believe everything you read on the internet
Most people on Battlefield forums are just whiners and most the people who are having no problems are having too much fun on the game to bother looking on the forums.

i would get the ordinary version first see if you like it.
Battlefeild 4 Preimum Requires you to already own the Base Game so watch out for that.
Amazon.co.uk has it for £25 digital Download. It is a big download though

Considering 5 minutes ago you were concerned that you think you might not even like the game I would advise against this and go for the standard version. That price is way too high for what's actually included.

Yeah i also agree with the guys above, you could play the base game and never notice any difference between that and the premium until the new maps come out and you cant get into some lobbies but in all honestly the amount of playabillity in the bas game is amazing. Great single player campain and a great and challanging multiplayer.
If you get premium it basiclly works as a season pass. You get some extra unlocks like a couple of weapons and skins that you wouldn't miss.
Most prices i have seen aren't anything special. Some are promoting the full package for £50 but you can get the game for £25 and the premium upgrade for £25 so its not really much of a deal and you wouldn't be missing out if you didn't go for digital deluxe.

£50 for the base game and premium pack is a good deal at the moment -- you can always upgrade to premium after a few days if you enjoy the game.
When you do get the game and want to give the multiplayer a go, try and join a game with the PCS / EPCG members (see > this thread < for details). It will really help to get into the game and also help you level up.

Hmm I was thinking about downloading the game, but don't think I'll bother as it might take a while. I might decide to go to Game tomorrow and buy it in the shop. I was going to order it online, but don't want to wait any longer to play a fps game.
I'm hoping I'll enjoy it as well as I did when I played it on the Xbox One at a mates house.
Only thing to consider is that you'll most likely still have to download it (or at least parts of it) because it has been heavily patched since release. It won't be much quicker to use the Disc I'd say (unless you have 'REALLY' slow internet).

I'd second that -- I'm downloading it now onto my laptop (so I can play as commander while travelling with work) and the current d/l is a touch under 25Gb. It'll take about 4 hours in total for me to download.
Edit: and following the 25Gb for the main game I now have a 5GB for China Rising! Not sure my work laptop has more spare space after this
