2nd top in the bracket for those components in the results table so I would say that's definitely a good result :)

Funnily enough, I had a 3dmark account from years ago and it shows my score of 5752 with a ATI Radeon X800 XT(1x) and Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40GHz 🤣 https://www.3dmark.com/3dm05/1125858

A bit of an upgrade from that system I think.....

You should update the 3DMark software to the latest. I think you're around 1000 points down but it's difficult to compare as the versions are different.

There's not a lot in it but there's definitely something that could be tweaked :)

Mmm, thought I had the latest version. Does steam not push updates automatically?
If it's switched on... yes, it definitely should. With programs I think it's less forceful though.

If you click your result you'll see the note that says you're not using the latest version so it's not a verified run for the hall of fame.

Yep, saw that. Just struggling to see how I can update 3DMark. I guess some googling is required....

If you go into steam (If that's where you got it) you should be able to check for updates in the program information window.

I reinstalled today, so I assume this version is the latest and therefore what I'm running?

I removed the Steam version and used the keys to install the direct download version instead

Just thought if I was benchmarking, then I was a bit silly to need to have Steam running in the background :cautious:

Just ran one there, lower score!

Likely something running in the background. Close all the programs that you don't need from the taskbar tray.

Your GPU ran cooler on that run and boosted a little higher so that should give you what you need to bump up the score. The CPU ran absolutely fine from the data I can see so I can only imagine it was memory interrupts that caused it (things running in the background).

Were the fans on max? GPU temps suggest they likely were but just wanted to check. Have all fans on max. GPU/CPU & case fans. Close everything you don't need, especially any browser windows, and re-run.

As I couldn't get the 3600mhz RAM to play nice with my system, I just left it at 3200mhz and added to what was there. THought I'd run the numbers again, with 32gb (I don't need it mind) compared to my original run with 16gb

And...no difference ;-)

Tried again
This time - 16GB ram running at 3600mhz and my new 4000d airflow case (replacing the NZXT H511)

Quantity of RAM doesn't have any impact on performance, you could have 128Gb in there, at the same speeds the system would perform exactly the same. There's a misconception about what RAM does in a PC.
