brightness and nvidia 765m switching issues

Is there any word on a fix for this? Having my screen stuck on maximum brightness all the time is really hurting my eyes, and it drains the battery really fast as well (and unlike some people have reported, on mine the screen never dims at all, even at low battery. I haven't found any way to change it).

I also have an Optimus V with a 765M and Windows 7.

I'm pretty sure they do have a fix for that actually, when i emailed them asking for Optimus V fan fix they said they'd hadn't got it yet however they did just get a fix for the brightness issue, so give them an email and ask for it :)

Hello, I had to re-register under a different user as I got locked out of the forums (and the password recovery mechanism is all but unusable). My previous posts were under the username Coit.

PC Specialist kindly couriered me a BIOS update on a USB key with instructions on 21st August - very simple - just 3 reboots and calling a bios install script each time.

The Brightness keys are now working for me.

If you are still awaiting a fix I suggest you email their excellent tech support and ask for the same.

Best of luck!
