BSOD while idle

I've bought my laptop in December and was getting BSOD rarely but after a month they started continuosly.

After many emails to assistance and windows' reinstallations I've sent the pc back for assistance.

Got it back after 45 days and pc is in the same condition as they've just reinstalled windows.

So, since I don't want to be without a laptop for another month and a half I decided to try and get help.

So, the laptop crashes the most when it's idle (it even bsod when finishing the windows installation), when playing (stressed) rarely crashes.
Also I already did a MemTest and got no errors after 6 hours.

I'm now pretty sure there's something wrong with CPU / Integrated GPU.

Right now the installation is a clean one with all updates and drivers installed + 7zip and chrome.

I’m no linguist but looks like you’ve ordered without Windows so can you tell us how you went about installing / activating Windows?

You say clean install - did that include deleting all partitions?

Have you run all Windows updates?

Installed graphics drivers?

Installed windows via USB from the Windows downloader thing from Microsoft.

Yes, deleted all partitions and created 2 fresh.

I've installed nothing other than 7zip.

I will now run all the updates from Windows Update.

Once you've run all updates till no more, even across reboots, then check in device manager and see if it shows any unknown devices

If you haven’t run all updates then windows is not yet fully configured so you may experience errors.

As Martin says run all updates then check Device Manager.

Your System log contains a KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED stop code with an exception code of 0xC0000005 (dated 15th March at 21:07), which is an access violation. These types of BSOD are almost always caused by a bad or missing third-party driver. The System log entry indicates that a kernel dump was written to C:\Windows\Memory.dmp. Please upload that dump to the cloud with a link to it here.

There is nothing of interest in your Application log.

As above, if Windows is not installed properly or if you don't have all the correct drivers installed this BSOD (and others) is very likely.

You mention you created 2 fresh paritions, were they both on the OS drive?

Done, there were 2 problems with unknown devices (hidden) in the device manager so I've installed the drives given by PCS (while still BSODing during installations). Now seems to no longer crash often, until now got no BSOD while it still randomly freezes and the screen flickers as it was about to crash but recovered. I'll keep the post updated.

EDIT: Yes, there's only one drive, 2 partitions

What were the missing drivers. Should go to manufacturers website first NOT PCS ones as they might be out of date too.

Have you installed the control centre.

Have you installed GPU drivers from nvidia site?

So a little update.
Reinstalled windows because I didn't partition correctly the SSD so I had to reinstall it. As soon as I was finished installing drivers and updates two blue screens appeared.
All the drivers were installed (and aside from Card Reader and Audio) from productors websites. Also installed the Gaming Center U.
The screen still randomly flickers / freezes as like it's about to crash.

Many apologies @AlbDel, I missed that you posted a link to the kernel dump in your original post! 😳

The stop code (as mentioned from your System log) is a KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED stop code with an access violation exception. This stop code really is almost always a driver error and usually a third party driver error.

In the dump the initial triage analysis points clearly at ndis.sys, the Network Driver Interface Specification driver - a component of Windows and thus extremely unlikely to be at fault. In the stack trace it's abundantly clear that TCP/IP network exchanges were taking place (hence the involvement of ndis.sys), the final system function call before the bug check was ndis!ndisMSendCompleteNetBufferListsInternal+0x1f1 and although Microsoft don't document these internal functions it's clear from the name that this was the end of a TCP/IP datagram end operation and this function was likely clearing the send buffer. It thus appears that the problem is definitely networking related.

I see that you still have two unknown devices shown in device manager and these could well be the source of these networking issues. You can find out what these unknown devices are and we may then be able to locate the right driver for them. To identify these devices do the following for each one....

1. Open Device Manager, right-click on the first unknown device and select Properties.

2. Click the Details tab and in the pull-down Property menu click on Hardware IDs.

3. Post a screenshot of that output.

I'll download that kernel dump and report back tomorrow. :)

That looks like a Bluetooth filter driver. It should be part of the wireless driver.

My quick initial analysis of your latest dump is different from the previous one but with one thing in common - both failures relate to memory buffers. It's important to get your RAM checked. TBH the best way to do that is to remove one stick and just run with one. If you still have issues then remove that and insert just the other one. Since you were having BSODs at install time(?) I'd suggest you try an install with just one RAM stick. If that BSODs swap the sticks and try installing again.

Hang on.....the failing driver in this dump is amdkmdag.sys, one of the AMD chipset drivers....
