Build date vs delivery date

Hi all,

The laptop that I've ordered currently has a build date of 17th December. What I'm wondering is does that mean everything will be completed on 17th (build, testing, etc) and ready for shipping the next day? Or does the build date precede the testing phase?

The date is close to Christmas and since I'll be away from the delivery address I'm wondering if that means I should delay delivery until the new year, since I won't be around to collect.

If the build date of 17th means it could be delivered on 18th, 19th, or 21st, that would be okay.

The build date is when it's assembled. Then it goes through to testing for 12 - 24 hours assuming no faults are found, then it's despatched and once collected by DPD is delivered the next day.
