Hi, for the budget I would like to keep it around that price range (2,203). The monitor I will be using is a 144hz Asus VG248QE, 24 inch FHD (1920 X 1080) gaming monitor.

Thanks! So firstly, we'd recommend avoiding an Intel build as they're streets behind what AMD are up to these days. Have a look at the thread linked below for the MANY reasons why...

There's a couple of other areas to consider. 32GB RAM is a little overkill for a gaming system unless you're an avid flight sim enthusiast or planning to stream your gameplay regularly. The PSU always benefits from being several levels higher than what the configurator suggests is appropriate. This'll cover you for future GPU upgrades, as they'll likely be more power hungry. It's also beneficial to go for an RM level unit as they're higher quality, fully modular and tend to run both quieter and cooler, something your system will thank you for. And drop the BullGuard AV, it causes no end of problems!

The most appropriate GPU to screen match with your monitor is actually a 3060, you'll get no benefit from a 3070. So with that and your budget in mind, this is the direction we'd be heading in...

With your budget, we COULD potentially tweak this one and get you up to 1440p, including a monitor. But if you're happy playing at 1080p, this build would see you right and have enough juice to cover you when you're ready to upgrade in future.

Thanks for the response! How would you suggest tweaking it to get me up to 1440p? The monitor is something that I will be looking to upgrade shortly down the line.

Just a minor change to the GPU, really. The 3060Ti is the 1440p 144Hz card of choice. The 3070 is more 1440p ultrawide level. So this system, paired with good monitor like the Samsung G5 gets you a great 1440p experience around your budget.

Hi,

Thanks for the help!

Just a couple of questions - is there any particular reason for having the 2nd slower SSD rather than increasing the size of the fast SSD? Also, is it better to get 3600 MHz ram over 3200 MHz, or would there be no real difference?

The reason for the second SSD is that's where you put your games with the OS on the faster one, this way if you ever need to clean install windows, you wont have to download all your games as well

Exactly as @Martinr36 states! You get an extremely fast boot from the first drive. Not all games gain quite as much benefit from a M.2 load, but it's definitely a worthwhile addition.

As for the RAM, 3200MHz is currently the sweet spot for most tasks and gaming, it's in audio production that the extra boost from the 3600MHz would really shine. But if you can afford it, it would do you no harm to have the higher frequency.

RAM also depends of you want RGB RAM or not....you can't have colourful RAM in the 3600MHz variety
Very good point! I am well known on the forum for my love of all things shiny so that's where my loyalties are...
