Buy now or wait?

Hi

I have seen several threads on reddit about how poor the GPU market is, is it worth waiting a month or two for prices to come down?

Is the market in a particularly bad state? Is this likely to improve in the next couple of months.

Thanks,

Tim

I wouldn't buy now...

I'm fully ready to upgrade to an AMD 5000 processor with RTX3000 graphics, but I'm waiting til probably July or so and reevaluate then.

Currently an equivalent system is around £300 or so more expensive than it was 6 months ago, it's madness.

I would second the not buying now sentiment. Prices are inflated and wait times are long as supply can't keep up with demand at all really. I would also check the 3000 series threads for an idea of how long people are waiting for the cards especially the 3080, the other two are a bit more readily available.

You're pretty much looking at around 35 working days (not including weekends or bank holidays) for any mid range machine and around 90 days currently for any higher end PC.

It's just a really bad time at the moment.

Further from that a lot of stocks just aren't what they usually are, normally we'd have far more choice on the cases as an example.
