This will be my first ever SSD so just to quickly check.
I will be doing exactly as you said, let Windows have it's own boot drive and then one drive purely for games and one drive purely for my artwork rendering but what about the actual software programs please.
Should I install Steam on the boot drive and the games on the games drive or does Steam go on the games drive along with the games?
And the same with Blender/Daz 3D, do the main programs have to go on the same drive as Windows or do they go on the same drive that is being used to store all the rendering assents and files?

All programs go on the windows drive including Steam, then you can change the location of the libraries to the secondary drives they're hosted on, you don't want any data on the windows ssd

Your games library you would put on the specific games drive, so in Steam, you'd go to settings / storage and set your primary games drive as the default install location
Similarly in Blender / Daz, you'd set the default drive location within that program itself.

Ok I am seriously impressed with this company right now. I only ordered the PC Thursday afternoon and it's already sitting here in my living room. I've given it a good look over and it seems to have survived the journey quite well (it was very well packaged). Needless to say it's absolutely huge compared to my old PC, it just fits in my old desk but barely (I can't even push the mouse tray in now lol)
I notice it has fans on the top which gives me concern for head room, so I definitely am going to buy a bigger desk because this one only gives it about 2-3 inches.
Before I choose a desk can someone tell me please how much head room space it's recommended for you to have above the case so that the CPU cooler gets enough air. It's a CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE with a CORSAIR iCUE H115i ELITE CAPELLIX XT RGB High Performance CPU Cooler.
Edit -they say the simplest solutions are the best -I removed the runners that hold the keyboard tray in place and removed the keyboard tray -The PC fits perfectly now but it only has a headroom of 4 inches above it.

Obviously, the more headroom, the better. I've got 5 inches headroom above my 5000x and haven't had any issues in the 18 months I've owned it. As long as there is enough room for the air to expel decently, then it should be fine
