Hoping it's going to be a massive step up in performance.

Thanks. Based on benchmarks I think my current CPUs scores less than half the amount the threadripper does on single threaded.
Multithreaded the difference is more like three times.

I'm hoping the leap from 2013 technology to 2020 will be a huge increase.

I don't think that cooler is going to be up to the task of that monster. It's crying out for a good 360mm water cooler.

It's going to restrict the system from it's potential IMO. I would have been more inclined to wait for it to be available or give them a call to see if there were any alternatives that they could provide.

I called them today and they have none in stock still.
I am able to upgrade the cooler myself without affecting the warranty so I'll see what the air cooling is like and purchase a 360mm liquid cooler soon.
