Hi everyone, currently have a fairly old gaming pc and looking to upgrade and just wondering if someone could check this spec and see what can be improved or what I can get cheaper etc!

With that in mind it looks like you're aiming for high refresh 1080p? The system you have configured is for high refresh 1440p so would be a huge waste of cash.

I would either lower the system drastically to match your monitor goals, or increase the monitor budget and aim for a 1440p system.

I don't really want to lower the system so happy to look at better monitors, do you have any recommendations for a 1440p monitor?

Also does the system look configured fairly well? Or anything I should change?

Do you have the URL from the build you copied and pasted? It's at the bottom of the list that you posted in. If you copy this URL it makes it MUCH easier to go in and have a look at the build and then tweak it for you. It gives a new link with each change etc. It appears you copied everything apart from it :D

I'm not a fan of the case, I think you can do WAY better. What is your aim with the case? Is it the looks you like?
The 3600X would cover your CPU uses. The 3800X would make sense if you wanted to stream/encode/multi-task, but it needs a decent cooler so eats into the budget. The 3700X is pointless just now, next to no difference in price for the 3800X.
For the RAM you want 3200Mhz rather than 3000. Always go with the fastest (within reason).
2070 Super is perfect for high refresh 1440p, budget around £350-£450 for the monitor though. They are getting hard to come by as everyone is buying them right now.
Storage is fine.
I would look at the 650w TXm PSU over the one you have selected. It's not great.
If you're sticking with the Ryzen 7 you want a decent cooler on there. Coolermaster 240 would be my minimum recommendation.
If you need Wifi, the £18 AX200 is the one to go with. Otherwise I would just drop the standard one, it's not great.
I would remove Bullguard, as Windows Defender is ideal as it is.
Silver warranty for £5 is a no brainer.

Yeah the case is just something I liked the look of, not done much research into it to be honest!

Made the changes you have suggested, coming in at £1482 which is slightly more than I wanted to pay BUT I don't mind paying the extra for a better machine. Would you say the price is good for the build?

Also if you have any recommendations for a case that would be great :)

Depending on the monitor.... night and day! The 3600X with the 2070S would wee all over the other at 1440p high refresh.
