Nope...Mrs Cooper knows exactly how much your computer cost! She is merely humouring you....at some point she will surely let you know that she knows and I am pretty certain it will be when she wants an expensive holiday or expensive clothes or, well, anything expensive....at which point it will be "your computer cost £xxx so don't argue with me" ;)
It's even worse than that... she wants a baby.

Good point, but I don't want to abuse the power bestowed upon me... @moosEh might take the ban-hammer back
I say go for it!

After all, you've two kids on the way and Mrs Cooper is no doubt looking to move to a house in the catchment area of the right good school (goes without saying, new house will have more bedrooms and a bigger garden for the kids). And she's probably already put the sports car up for sale and is researching which people carrier to buy for the larger family.

What harm could renaming a thread do in comparison . . .

Gotta say though, never thought that buying a PC could be so life changing!

OK guys n gals quick "PC cleaning" question. I was telling the better half about the two linked products and buying something that blows air for 50 quid sounds a lot of money (I know they are others, but not looked into them). She pulled out a draw a hair dryer, and asked... "Why not use that on the lowest heat setting", it blows air and we already have one.

Which I though - Good question and couldn't really answer. So If the PC is opened more often, and a quick 2 minute blow around with a hair dryer will do the same job..... So What are the thoughts on this? is it a viable alternative (and cheaper since we already have one) ?

I'd assume because a hairdryer would generate a ton of static electricity and probably not have strong enough pressure for a really good clean. Plus, unless it's got a 'cool shot' setting, it'd be creating a lot of unwelcome heat.

(The scientists amongst us may have more eloquent answers)

@AgentCooper I was thinking the same reasons, especially about the static, but if holding 1ft away, is that a problem, wouldn't the static be on the dryer, and for heat, if the PC is off at the time, again does a little heat for a minute or two matter?
