Hello Everyone,

as the title states im pretty much a complete noob when it comes to building pcs from scratch, and im looking for recommendations to a build i'm not fussed about 4k gaming i just want a pc that will run the majority of new games at a decent 1080/1440p res with the option to upgrade later on down the line

My monitor at the moment is an old ASUS 1980x1080 res with a 60hz refresh rate that will upgraded either now or at a later date (heance why ive added one in the build)

Games: currently i play, Warhammer 40k sm2, wow, battlefields (multiple) and other small games

Budget: anywhere from £1,500-2000

honestly ive probably made a fool of myself, but i looking through the guide to building a desktop for 1440p somewhat high end pc, up for any suggestions. Thanks!

The build itself is excellent but the GPU selection is quite a bit off the mark for 1440p. It would barely be considered a 1080p GPU for now. I can't spec a system for 1440p with a 1440p monitor inside £2k but it's not too far off.

With the below everything is covered for years. Good base and all the PSU you will ever require. The only area you may want to prop up a little would be the cooler. The H150i would match well with the aesthetic. The h100x is a great cooler and will cover the 7800X3D for most uses without throttling, but you can do a bit better with a more premium offering to suit the rest of the build.

From the monitor selections in the configurator I think the IIYAMA G-MASTER GB2770QSU-B5 27" would be a better choice. It's more money, but you get better quality and more specifically an IPS panel.

With that being said, if you buy the monitor elsewhere you can get better value for money in general.
