Hi, I’ve had my PC for around a month now and it’s been working fine. I was in the middle of watching a video on YouTube and all of a sudden the video just stopped all the lights on my keyboard and mouse turned off and getting no response, there seems to be an orange light on the motherboard next to DRAM. The PC won’t even turn off or restart. What should I do?

Specs:
Motherboard: ASUS TUF X570 PLUS GAMING
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x
Ram: 16gb Corsair vengeance RGB pro DDR4 3200mhz
Graphics card: 8GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 super
Powers supply: Corsair 750W
SSD: 2 x 1TB
CPU Cooler: Corsair h100i platinum hydro series

If it is still running and you can't get it to do a proper shutdown have you tried pressing the power button on the PC case to turn it off, or if that doesn't work then hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds

Or do you mean you think its on cos there is an orange light lit? Often there is a light on the motherboard just to say its getting power when its turned off.

A yellow (orange?) light on that motherboard indicates a RAM issue. Might be worth taking each stick out and reseating it to see if that improves the situation.

Yes I tried the power button on the case and holding it down for a few seconds, nothing seemed to of happened, so I ended up turning it off from the power supply, I have rebooted it back up and it’s started as if it’s normal with no problems as of yet...

it was the QLED on the top right corner of the motherboard it was just solid orange/yellow next to the DRAM, The leds to indicate that there is power is on the backside of the motherboard at the bottom right.

Keep us updated if it happens again and we’ll do some troubleshooting 👍
