Control Center 3.0 GPU fan dial stuck at zero

Hi, I received my new laptop yesterday (17.3" Recoil) and installed the Control Center software. It was working fine and I could see the temp needles on the CPU and GPU moving according to what tasks I was doing. However today, the needle for the GPU temperature is not moving at all, even if I'm doing something more graphic intensive. I've attached a screenshot. Not sure what to do, so any advice would be appreciated.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the Recoil is a Tongfang chassis whereas you seem to be using the Clevo Control Centre.

I'm using the control center that was supplied by PC Specialist with the laptop, so I assume it's correct for this machine.

Have you installed your own Windows / or did you buy license?
Have you run all updates?
What has changed on your system / have you done since it worked to when it didnt work?

Thank you.

I received the laptop yesterday - windows was installed with the laptop. (I just had to go through the set up steps) I've just checked windows updates and there are some to do, so I'll sort that out and see what happens. I've only been setting up basics like colour theme, windows app permissions installing general programs etc., nothing techy that should affect fans or the software.

Its needed so that the techies on here can get the full picture of what they are giving advice on and in case something on here might be causing the issue albeit unlikely.

Can you go into Device manager and take a screen shot - are there any yellow warning triangles on any of the items or are there any items listed in Other Devices.

Can you also go into Windows Update and check that an update wasnt applied recently.

It seems odd that no updates are needed - as usually there are some to be run.(ah see that you have amended your post - yes you need to apply updates if there are some)

You mentioned you hadnt done windows updates, thats a priority and your system isnt properly setup until it has.

When you are done with Windows updates, its still worth checking the Device manager. Also install HWMonitor and see what reading that is giving for the GPU

Thanks very much everyone for your help! I edited my post before the latest replies because there was in fact updates needed (sorry about the error there - I had checked before but didn't see any).

I've installed the updates and the GPU needle seems to be working again, so looks like that was what was needed. Seems so simple:) But I've not used this software before, so I've learnt something new:) I hope this post might be helpful to someone else in the future.

Thanks again, much appreciated:)
