Cooling concerns!

Hey everyone,

I am looking at this system build for my new gaming rig, however I am a little concerned that there is sufficient cooling when it is working hard. Looking at the photo there is only 2 x 100mm fans, and as this is a first system I've bought, I am unsure if that is just a stock photo, and my system will actually have more cooling?

I presume these pre-designed systems are built with sufficient cooling, but just wanted to make sure!

Also, if anyone has any tips on the specs it would be appreciated - particularly the monitor.

These aren't 'pre-designed' systems...unless you've gone for a pre-built or next day build.

They're meant to be tweaked and customised to your liking/preference/budget, and if you're not confident in picking the correct components, then post on here with your requirements for the expert volunteers to suggest alternatives.

However, we will need to know your max budget; what monitor (I assume it's the one in the config); what your key/critical usages are (besides gaming); any aesthetic pre-requisites (e.g. lots of RGB or minimal RGB); any space constraints, etc.

You'll also need to edit your post to include the configuration link, as we'll need that to tweak it.

Do you have any intention of playing with ray tracing enabled? If so, a swap to an Nvidia GPU will be needed.

I don't think PCS monitor options are brilliant, but I'm not a monitor expert (I just see OLED and click buy), so this is a slight tweak on what you already had, which was a very good start...

If you're purchasing with finance and have no option but to opt for the PCS monitor lineup then the IIYAMA isn't too bad. If you can budget to purchase elsewhere then there are better circa £300-400 options available.

That's a stonking deal!

Only thing it's missing is proper HDR but you're not going to get near that for anywhere near that price.

Th budget full HDR1000 1440p option is this one at £299. This beats most options below £600 IMHO, I’d take a good VA panel with proper backlight dimming over a standard IPS

But it is quite a step up in price, that MSI is a great deal
