HI
Got my new desktop this week, all looking great! One thing I've noticed is the above case is more noisy than I thought. It has two fans at the front and one at the back, in addition to the Platinum cooler fans on the top and ultra quite power supply. Anyone else noticed it is a little noisy? Doesn't really bother me but its actually louder than my old 4 year old desktop.

Where's the noise coming from? Is it the case fans? You may want to check the speeds of the fans in the BIOS, it's possible they're set too high.

Hi, its hard to tell as when I put my ear to them all I can hear them whirring but I'd say the fan at the back is the loudest. How do I check the speed in the BIOS?

Actually, rather than the BIOS, you should be able to control them in Corsair iCue which will also control the RGB lights on the fans:

Thanks. The iCue software appears only to control the lighting for the RAM and lighting core for the fans, doesn't seem to be an option for fan speed. I saw a YouTube video and I think there should be a profile for Performance that allows to control the fan speed. The only profiles on my software are for Devices - RAM and Lighting core. I've tried updating the software but no difference. Seen another post who's having the same issue.

Ah, apologies, then you could use something like speedfan, or go into the BIOS and adjust fan properties.

The BIOS is allowing me to set the speed to silent but the option to apply the setting is greyed out. Same with options for standard, turbo, full speed and manual. Can't apply any of them.

Hello

From what i've read, unless you have a commander pro you are unable to adjust corsair fan speed or see the performance profile you mentioned. There is an app called speedfan but it's quite technical and i am not sure how to use it.

I have a similar issue with my corsair case fans and corsair h115i. The cpu cooler doesn't even appear in lighting option on icue to change the lighting effect but it does have a standard rainbow rgb.

I think you need a commander pro to control fan speeds as mentioned. You may only have the lighting node pro for your current rgb setup. If you find another way i'd be interested to know.

Thanks

That's definitely not right. You should have full control of the H115i RGB via iCue... I certainly do.

With regards to the case fan speed, that's likely controlled via the motherboard rather than iCue. There should be a simple software for the motherboard that allows configuring :)

Check the USB header is correctly plugged in from the cooler. As @Scott says, as long as it is that model, there should be no problem adjusting the fan lights in iCue
