Hello, can you please share your thoughts on this build?

I can't tell which would be better for me in terms of price & performance - i7 9700K or Ryzen 7 3800X. The pc will be used mostly for AAA gaming.

I've also been thinking about getting RTX 2080 Super combined with AMD cpu. The problem is that I have no experience with AMD and I wouldn't like to spend more than £1700. Is it possible to build something that has RTX 2080 Super and well performing AMD for that kind of money?

At the moment, AMD is crushing Intel by almost any metric you may choose to compare them by. I imagine you'll be able to get the equivalent AMD CPU for cheaper than its Intel counterpart so would suggest you can certainly get the AMD option for less.

What monitor will you be using to game on?

I looked over it again and I could probably go for RTX 2080 Super + Ryzen 5 3600X. I'm wondering, wouldn't the 2080S be bottlenecked by the CPU in some ways?

I am planning to get some 24" 144hz monitor.

There’s no point in anything over the 2060 Super for 1080p, just wouldn’t be used. 1080p is really a dead resolution that will bottleneck any modern system. If you provide a max budget you can afford we may be able to get a decent monitor and PC included.

Thank you. I've never had a desktop before so I know almost nothing about components and how they work together.
The thing is, I aim to get a system that can easily run the latest games on highest settings at constant 70+ fps or so.
As for the budget, I think I'd be willing to go up to £1700, all inclusive.
