well for asus motherboards, they are suppose to have the "B3" labeled to show its the new fix.

Well i got my 2 port sata card in the post today so cheers for that.
I say 2 port but it actually has 4?
2 of these have "SATA RAID" chips under them, does this mean they can't be used for my hd's or dvd/blu ray drives?
Also is it a case of just unplugging the drives from the main motherboard and plugging them in the SATA card and away you go, or is there jiggery pokery involved?
PCS recommended i ring them and they would talk me through installing it, but with work and stuff i'm unlikely to be about during the day, so any advice would be much appreciated.

isnt the logo pretty much the sticker already? since it is sticked to the board which im sure is visble to people? (though i havent seen one myself)

The sticker is placed over the ram slots so has to be removed.

The new P8P67 Pro Rev 3 motherboards are in according to the configurator. I'd like to amend my order to include this new motherboard. But that will work out to be more expensive than cancelling and making a new order. I think I might just cancel and make a new order, though I understand that I'll lose my place in the queue.
I'm in the same position, but the new P8P67 B3 (not Pro) motherboards are arriving in the UK between the 8th and 10th of March, so if you're like me and still in processing there's no way PCSpecialist are gonna build us faulty PCs when they don't have to.
So, are PCS in a position now to replace our motherboards? It's a bit of a hassle sending my whole PC back to swap mobo's. I'm more than capable of doing it myself so is it possible to have the REV 3 Mobo sent out to me and I do the swap and send the faulty one back? Or if I take mine out and send it, how long till I get a replacement?

We will contact customers who recieved their PC prior to the fault being found in due course. There will be a system in place to ensure that we don't end up getting silly amounts of PC's back at the same time.
However, customers (such as yourself) who's orders were passing through Production when news of the fault was announced were contacted and given four options, you chose the following;
We will dispatch your order to you at your request. Your computer will still have full warranty cover but you will forfeit the right to have the motherboard replaced because of this issue. Any other problems will of course be covered under warranty.
As you selected this option we will not be able to replace the Motherboard free of charge.

Right, that is true. But ASUS are doing it free of charge and I thought that since these faulty boards are being recalled that you have a legal duty to replace them regardless? I'll do it through ASUS if you wont do it. Where will I find the serial number of my mobo?
The best bet would be to contact Tech Support and see what their Manager has to say, procedures may have changed but 100% sure. If it boils down to it and you need to return to ASUS, then the serial number will be on a small white sticker. From memory it will be around 10 digits (numbers & letters). The Motherboard model will also be included on the same sticker.
