Wee update for everyone regarding Nova laptops:
I called PCS today. The delivery that was due on the 25th didn't arrive and it is expected by the end of this week including week or next week.
PCS ordered 100 total Nova chassis' in April for a 05/05/2020 delivery date. This has still not arrived. Currently there is 36 Nova latops requested (ordered already) so as soon as the delivery arrives (comes from China) all existing orders should be built.
It takes around 1 hour to build the order and the. 12-24 hours to test. If it passed the test it should be out for dispatch or delivery within 24/48 hours.
These are rough guides but all being well that should happen.
PCS are really just waiting on the supplier which was delayed due to COVID considering it is coming from China. This is understandable and those who are waiting on a Nova will hopefully enter build within 1-2 weeks. Depending on the delivery. The supplier is known to be a week or so late as standard due to exporting from China etc and customs reviews. So considering the outbreak a month delay does seem about right as factories were closed etc.

My (basic level, default options) laptop took 2 days to build, and has now been in testing for 3 days...

This is where these kinds of conversations lead to disappointment and dissatisfaction.
Every build is unique, it’s not sensible to give a defined timeframe. If a build faces any issues during testing, those issues have to be troubleshot and then corrected and then it has to go through full testing again.
Don’t have any expectations for any of this and you’ll have a much easier time of it, plus you’ll lower the time PCS need to spend dealing with the impatient customers who call up every day for an update, just let them get on with it.

I just contacted them. One person on chat told me it should be built today or tomorrow for my Viper 17.3 but then the person on the phone told me that the chasis weren't delivered on Friday
. So not sure what is going on maybe there is a delay on the chasis. Mine has been in pre production for 7 working days.

Well good news is mine has just entered building so Nova chassis' must have been delivered. I don't know how many but I hope you all are also entering building

@danhar827 thanks man! I hope to maybe even get it by the weekend but we'll see. I'd much rather they spent days in testing than rushed Yeah send over your specs and I'll see if we had anything different.

21 days!? You're so patient I can't wait. I'm wondering why more people arent buying off the shelf ones like from Razer or Alienware.
Haha, ordered on the 4th May, it's been a tricky wait. Should be worth it though for that sweet Ryzen!
As fair as I could tell, you get much more bang for your buck going through PCS, plus I like the whole journey (which outside of a pandemic would be a lot smoother).
Also, less bloatware!
