Desktop for 2D animation?

I'm a 2D animatior looking to upgrade from a laptop but have no idea about what to look for '

I prefer windows.

My budget is £1200 at the very most. I use clip studio paint, tvpaint and some editing programs, and am looking into using blendr a little.

If anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear them, thank you for your time

What is the spec of the laptop you currently have? Do you have a model or any information on it?

£1200 is very much entry level for a system, but I would think 2D would be fair game for entry level anyway. Certainly clip studio won't have any issues, blender is here you can hit some real performance gains with hardware.... but typically more full blown 3d animation & rendering.

What's happening with your current laptop? Is it being re-purposed or binned? Just thinking the license is worth around £100 which could be put towards hardware if you transferred it.
