Desktop running several monitors

Hi guys,

I'm looking to get a desktop PC that is capable of running 3-4 monitors. The set up is for one of my online tutors. It will mainly be used for running multiple browser tabs at once with OBS recording one screen. The monitors will all be 1080p.

In terms of budget, I can pay whatever is necessary, but want to avoid any unnecessary extravagances.

Any advice anyone has on what spec I would need would be greatly appreciated.

Hiya, that should be doable without anything breaking the bank.

When you say multiple browser tabs, roughly how many are we talking? If it's say over 20, that will affect the memory requirements, that's all.

Around 6-8, so not too many. However, they will all be running the online whiteboard Miro, which I've found can be quite resource intensive for slower devices.

Ok, so Ryzen 5 level and not probably 16Gb RAM I would have thought.

So this is using premium parts which may cost a little more, but are certainly more reliable and so have higher endurance which I think is worth it in a professional setting.

The motherboard also can support CPU upgrades for the next 3 or 4 generations as well, so the lifetime of the system is extended quite significantly with very little implication.

The drives have a high endurance rate, they're more professional quality than consumer.

The GPU has 4 display outputs, I THINK it's 3 x Display Ports and 1 HDMI, but you may want to confirm this with PCS when you order, or at least let them know your requirements. I believe all you'd need is perhaps a few DP to HDMI adapters depending on what screens you're connecting.
