Do the laptops come with a metal case or a plastic one?

Depends what model you choose and what format, so cheaper chassis in the format will be plastic, while the top two or so models will likely be aluminium like the Lafite, or Magnesium alloy like the Fusion Studio in the thin and lights.

For gaming, the Ionico or Vyper III are Magnesium alloy and the Recoil is Aluminium.

It all depends what tier of that range you're going for.

My bad, out of the lafite range it appears it's only the 14" that is aluminium.

It will say it on the "chassis and display" section of the configurator:

If you can tell the forum what you main uses are and a rough budget, there are loads of people who could help you with specs and so on, to get the best fitting machine.
