Duff DVD drive...i think?

i have had the same issue - but it was error32. Tried all the fixes but the DVD is still not being recognised - HELP!!
Try uninstalling driver for the device from device manager then restart computer,windows should then recognise device and reinstall driver,failing that it's most likely you need a new optical drive.

Basically its a warranty return for a component in your PC (it stands for Return Merchandise Authorisation).

If you login to your PCS account from their homepage you can click a link to 'request an RMA'. If you type the details of the problem you are having in there they will either phone you to sort it out (if they think they can) or ask you to send the faulty item back in.

You can then either just take the drive out yourself (if you are comfortable) or give them a ring and they will talk you through it.

Pretty simple with an optical drive though so you wont have any problems!

yes - cds, my own photo cds . Corel draw said it failed to find the dvd Thx for the help - will phone them and post back the outcome
 
had a new one delivered but still no joy - called PC Spec. again and they this time said it was a driver issue and the bloke said i didn't need a new DVD player The helpdesk bloke then logged onto my pc and fixed the problem - all ok now
