Dust Covers for CORSAIR 4000D Case?

Hi all,

My new desktop should be arriving on or before Friday! I am super stoked.

I've been cleaning/dusting my desk area in anticipation of its arrival and it has occurred to me that I should probably invest in ways to protect my precious new PC from the insane amount of dust in my room.

What would people recommend? I have the CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE. Would dust covers be enough? If so, would someone kindly recommend some to me? Are there any other precautions I can take?

As always, thanks so much for all your help!

The case manages dust and comes with dust filters. That's why case selection is far more important than just aesthetics.

Thanks for your swift respond, @SpyderTracks. This is great news! That case was recommend to me by a forum member, so I should have guessed it would be good one.

Are there any other additional measures I can take to protect my new desktop from dust, beyond giving a gentle blast with a can of air every week or so?

Thanks so much!

Yeah, as @ubuysa a good case is designed to manage dust intake, that's why you have filters that slide out so you can wipe them down as you need to.

You'll find the 4000D is designed extremely well with regard to dust protection, if anything, I may go so far as to say the Corsair cases generally are over-engineered at their pricepoints (except for the big daddy bohemoth which is ludicrously overpriced)

Just clean out the filters once a week if you need to, and the internals a couple of times a year perhaps.

Remove dust filters if the fans are set to exhaust, you want the dust to be able to escape from the case if it's blowing air out. But keep any filters that are in front of intake fans
