Enigma 3 usb 2.0 ports not working. usb 3.0 port works

Hi, finally got the usb 3 port to work. Basically did a clean install after removing a HD and putting back my dvdwr drive, now my USB 2.0 ports don't work? Tried a few clean installs of both 7 and 8 and still no luck. Just recently got 3.0 port to work, its like the drivers aren't saved in windows? :S Used the disk the laptop came with to install the chipset but that didn't work. I got the 3.0 working after installing the usb 3.0 host controller. Any ideas? Currently downloading driverpack solutions to try and see if that will fix it.

Also had a look in the Bios but nothing in there? im currently on 2.70 if a new bios update could bring some more features to enable these or anything?

It is probably a driver issue, does the usb device show up in your hardware list?

Might be worth getting in touch with whoever supplied the laptop to see if they have the usb 2.0 drivers. I had a brief look at Compal's website to see if I can find the drivers on there but I can't find Model PBL21 (only PBL11) and even then no usb 2.0 drivers

It does on windows 8, shows up as fine but on windows 7 is showed in the device manager with an !. I got the laptop from PC specialist. Yeh can only find PBL10/11 as well. I could only find the intel chipset but that didn't work...

compal and tried that....There's nothing from the USB 2.0, no power or anything, basically like they're are dead :/
