You can select the 3 x Corsair AF120 fan kit…or (maybe cheaper) switch to Corsair 4000X case (although it might only be available in white at the moment).

If you go for the fan kit, the online tool might complain about too many fans, so you’d have to call PCS to get them to swap the front fan for this fan kit…as I said, the case change would be simpler if you’re happy with a white case
alright, ill think about getting the white case. Although for a black case, ill switch the RAM to the rgb version, then in terms of getting the fans, do i select the 3 x Corsair AF120 fan kit, order then ring them or how should i go about it? also, is the Corsair H100i really worth it for my build?

I don't know why it allows you to add the H115 iLink version, but not the H100i iLink version. But you could go all-in on the iLink system and fit the 3xQX120 iLink fan kit, which will remove a fair bit of fan wiring as the 'link' together as per the name.

But as I mentioned previously, as long as you have a quote, you can call PCS directly to put notes into the system for the builder to do some custom configuring...because the configurator may not let you remove pre-installed items (i.e. the single front black fan) to make space for new/better items (i.e. the 3xAF120 kit) AND the top-mounted H100/H115i. But speaking to PCS on the telephone/chat may be quicker/simpler than trying to force a config through a recalcitrant configurator tool.

You don't need any of these items, I only listed them because you wanted to know what you needed to do to match that photo.

I’m honesty not that fussed with rgb cooling inside like the photo I attached, I just want to ensure I have good cooling in my pc. as long as I have a little bit of RGB (like the ram sticks) and some rgb fans at the fron. but at the minute I just need some suggestions for the cooling section of my build

Well, the 7700 does not require a huge amount of cooling, so even a normal tower/air cooler would suffice.

Unfortunately the decent Deepcool ones are not even showing on the configator, and the PCS ones are on back-order (due to the amount of Christmas orders I assume).

So your options are PCS or Corsair liquid AIO cooler. The cheapest of which are the PCS Frostflow 120 (1x120mm) at £41 or the PCS Frostflow 360 (3x120mm) at £62.

We'd normally recommend a Corsair cooler as they're better quality (and controllable from within iCUE software along with the front fans and RAM), but completely understand if the budget have another £100 in it for a bit of 'bling' when it will be more than enough to cool that CPU.

The H100i/H115 Elite Capellix will be more than enough for that CPU, the H115i will be ever-so-slightly quieter due to the larger fans and is currently the cheaper of the 2.

Awesome, many thanks! I think im gonna go with this build. What's the next move in contacting/ ordering PCS? Also what can i say to explain my situation and what tweaks I need?

If it's a simple change then you go into your order and make a change there before you submit your order.

You'd only need to call if you want to change something that the configurator says you can't - or where there's a conflict.

Yes, but you don't need to use the ICUE LINK version if you want to save some cash.

Either go for BOTH AIO and FAN KIT in ICUE LINK, or both without - no benefit of mixing them as you end up with 2 different types.

So either:
  1. 3 x Corsair AF120 RGB ELITE fan kit and Corsair ICUE H115i ELITE Capellix AIO, or
  2. 3 x Corsair ICUE LINK QX120 fan kit and Corsair ICUE LINK H115i AIO
Option 1 has individual cables that connect via splitters to the controller/hub.

Option 2 connect to each other with little pin connectors and just have a single cable from the end fan to the controller/hub.

Can I just say, this is exactly why getting a decent case comes into play. If you’re buying a case just to swap out the fans, then the case isn’t suitable, just buy a decent case.

If you’re adding all those fans as additional fans, too many fans will actually kill the cooling potential of a case and destroy airflow.

Either way, this is not the right way to go about it.

My plan was to swap out the fans with the Corsair ones. Have u got any suggestions for a case? I do want RGB fans at the front and a black case. Thanks

The Fractal Focus 2 has RGB front, then reduce the cooler to the H100i which is all you need on that CPU anyway, and drop the additional fans.

Or source a case from somewhere and send it in for them to build in. There's loads of options at a budget of around £110 which is what you were going to spend modding the 4000D, but the Fractal Design Torrent is a lovely case

i prefer the look of the 4000D case with the corsair fans, as long as PCS is able to install it for me, and put the corasir fans into the 4000D im not fussed if it costs a bit extra.

That's crazy though, you're paying huge money for a budget case, makes no sense at all. A case is all about airflow, the RGB is just a bonus on top of that. You'd be paying serious money for an entry level case that can never be any better with airflow due to design, no matter how many fans you put in.

It's not costing "a bit extra" you're doubling the cost.

Just plump for the 5000X if you're not worried about cost. It includes a controller as well, so is very good value.
