Finance rejected and price increased

Hi so around 2-3 days ago I applied for finance to buy a pc and it looks really likely that its going to be rejected. I have the money to buy the pc upfront (I would have preferred to pay by finance) so I was going to buy the pc once they reject my application and give me my deposit back. BUT NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THE PRICE OF THE PC I WAS BUYING HAS SHOT UP BY £100. So I'm wondering, when my deposit comes back, will I have to pay the price I was going to have to initially pay or will I have to pay this new price.
I also kinda wanna know which parts rose in prices to suddenly make the price cost £100 more
The specs were:

You will have to confirm with PCS but I think they will hold your deposit and ask if you want to pay by a different method so it should still keep your original quote. This is a guess mind not fact.

That's what i would have expected as well as normal quotes are valid for 5 days, but you would need to confirm with PCS

Prices fluctuate all the time depending on demand and supply. Given the specs, I'd say the likely culprit is either the CPU or GPU...in early December I remember quite a few people noticing a £100 increase overnight...just the way things are at the moment with supply issues with the new tech
Oh ok that makes sense, I'm just sad about it because the specs were good and my parents wont let me buy it at the new price lol

Wait to see what PCS say anyway - and whether the finance does get rejected or not - it might take a day or two longer than normal to look at.

I would avoid buying a TxM if possible...they have had issues with that variant this year (my 550w one needed replacing after 8 months, others had to replace them as well) whether it was a manufacturing defect or whatever. The 750RMx would also give you the option of adding a more powerful graphics card down the line if you wanted to
Whats the issues with the TXm series? I’m currently waiting on my build with 750W TXm series?

Not entirely sure what the issue was....we had a spate in early Summer of ones needing replacing, some from earlier in the year like mine (one day my PC tripped the breaker for my sockets. To be fair, it was mainly limited to the 550w ones and, as far as I know, I haven't seen any 750w ones. I would hope Corsair have fixed them as Corsairs are normally pretty bulletproof...I'm just reluctant to recommend them
Would imagine they have the issue sorted by now

Well, hopefully once the finance is rejected (weird thing to say about applying for finance), you will get the option to pay in full at the same price.

Have just had a look at your spec....currently comes to just over £1500 yes? If it comes to it and you can get them to come halfway, this would bring you in at £1450:

If you can afford it up front, contact PCS / Hitachi and withdraw the finance application (as a rejection will not then show on your credit record) and say you want to change how you are paying for it.

You might be able to then keep it tied in at the price you had.
