First PC build - Animation/Gaming

Hi everyone,

Looking for a new PC for 3D animation/Rendering and Gaming. Budget of about £2,000.

My current monitor is an AOC 2250 with 60Hz refresh rate, considering a new one if needed. Max budget for it would be £200

New to building PCs so I'm not too sure about things like motherboards and power supply etc

A monitor for your budget can potentially be 29.5" MSI OPTIX MAG301RF, I didn't add it to the build below but it is available for selection at extra £195.
Not sure how heavy your 3D animation/Rendering work is but I'd think you want more powerful CPU than the selected one and if you are not fixed to Intel CPU's then the below might suit you well.

Unless there's a specific need for it, I wouldn't go with Windows 10...if nothing else, you are paying an extra £65 for the privilege. Plus support for it ends in just over 2 years (end of 2025).

Depends on your future plans really. I don't see any reason not to go for 1000w nowadays, especially with such a small difference in price. It's a bargain from PCS as well as they are typically £200 outside.

Decided to go with this but just wanted to check if the graphics card and memory are ok. Went for a cheaper graphics card to knock the price down, and I don't really need a brand new one.

Have you checked the capability of the AMD GPU with the software you are using vs NVidia? There are some scenarios where it makes no odds but when it comes to RT utilisation, Nvidia can pull a fair margin.

If you're confident the AMD has you covered then I would switch out for the 6950XT. It's a LOT more powerful for not a lot more money
