First time building a pc - advice appreciated!

Hi! I'm thinking of building this pc below. I'm planning on using it mainly for gaming and video editing, and while I understand it might be a bit over kill, I would like something that could run games on ultra and have no need to upgrade it for 2-3 years. I was thinking of an i9 instead of the i7 but ultimately thought the i7 would be fine (I've heard good things about AMD CPUs though, should I be getting one of those?). I also wouldn't know the most when it comes to motherboards so if there is any recommendation on something else to choose if you could please explain why! Not much of a budget either if that helps.

I have everything else needed bar a monitor - any ideas or recommendations for that would be helpful too!

Ultimately though I don't know a lot about computer building so if anyone has any suggestions or changes, all advice is appreciated! Specs are as follows:

What is your budget for the PC? Do you have a separate budget for the monitor? The graphics card you have chosen needs an expensive monitor to do it justice. You would most likely be better off with an AMD build and there are others more knowledgeable than me who can help you with this.

My budget for the PC is roughly 2800, and for the monitor, if an expensive one is needed I don't really have a budget for it. Thanks for responding!

Given the budget and that you will be doing some video editing, you might benefit from more cores (5900X), but this would require the ROG Strix motherboard and the H115i Platinum cooler. You might also benefit from 32GB of RAM for that application. A few extra pounds for the RMx 850W would give you more flexibility for GPU upgrades in the future.

My suggestions would take you to just over £2300 for the PC.
