Just thinking that I'll probably set up dual monitors at some point. With the 6850 graphics card, will I need any extra tech to do that (never really had the power to dual-monitor before)

Easy to set up,right-click on the desktop and choose Screen resolution,
Now you’ll see 1 and 2 to distinguish which monitor is which. There are several options, duplicate, extend etc.
or in windows7 you can also press windows key+ p,
this will bring up the same options.

So no fancy cards or anything needed, just plug stuff in the back?

Far as I know the 6850 has two DVI ports,
so all you need to do is connect the monitors to these.

Great! I've got a ~18.5" TV with a DVI input and I could probably pick up a fairly decent monitor for a song in a Cash Convertors (it always depresses me when I'm in there, but hey, cheap is cheap!). I just hope the 6850 is good enough to actually run stuff

well they do give you extra wattage if ya need it. also more reliable and energy efficient. Also looks ten times better in ya case.

Better in my case you say? LED's etc or what?

Edit: Also, now I can't decide between the Radeon 5850 and the NVIDIA gtx 560. The latter has a slightly faster clock speed, but puts me slightly over budget. Is it worth it for those extra MHz?

Edit 2: Now I considering the Radeon 5870 : Seems to be 900MHz and that's only for an extra 25 quid. That takes me slightly over budget, but not as much if I'd chosen the 560 (also seems to be faster). Is that ~100MHz extra worth it over the 5850
