Aim: Getting photos from a smartphone to a Windows10 PC (version22H2).
My Galaxy XCover5, several USB Settings are missing? Notably 1 and 4 on the list below. Disabled by provider?
How to get/enable 'Transferring Images' so I can download photos?
My Samsung Galaxy A04s does have all these:
Methods investigated to download photos using Samsung Galaxy A04s....
Failure: Microsoft Photos 2024.11030.150010 opens automatically when phone plugged in, can see the phone gallery, offers to import and,...then nothing happens. No idea why. No error message.
Success: So I finally found this route. This PC > nameofphone > Internal storage > DCIM > Camera. And then just dragged the thumbnail/files across to download the photos I wanted successfully. It works, no wireless sync-cloud redirection to worry about.
TIP for those who found this by searching Samsung Galaxy A04s:
The Scan QR code feature is not in Camera Settings (why the hell not?), it is hidden seperately and found by swiping down from the top of the screen twice!!
