Do your games have any error logs they write?

Many many many years ago I had an issue like this, and it was caused by bad RAM, and trawling through the error log told me that.

Though to be honest, I don't know if that would be the cause of your issue.

Thanks for the quick response, how do I look through error logs? When I am playing a game it just disappears and puts me on the desktop with no error message or noises. I've been on the internet all day looking for solutions but so far I have had no luck :(

Is this on just 1 game or a few different games ? are all your games patched to the most recent updates ? have you tried reinstalling your GPU drivers from the nvidia website if not give that a go but make sure you select advanced and check the box for a clean install.

On every game :( and i've installed Advanced System Optimizer to clear everything and make sure its up to date. Ive installed all windows updates and all the patches for all the games.

Thought id fixed it but after 25mins witcher 2 just closed to the desktop randomly on me again.... Could it be something to do with the OS system?

Yes, they are quite low, around 50-60C, has anyone else experienced this problem before?

EDIT: My Temps are actually around 80C, just double checked this

Well Rakk said earlier it could possibly be a faulty stick of ram.

It could even be something to do with your OC if you know how to change the profiles (i don't mess about with OC's so can't help with that) then maybe you could try the standard settings to see if that sorts it or not at least you will be eliminating it.

Try running the performance trouble shooter to see if programs are running in the background,
one of which might be causing the problem.
Open the Performance troubleshooter by clicking the Start button/Control Panel/troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under System and Security, click Check for performance issues.
Also you could have a look in event viewer it may give you a clue to the problem.
Go to control panel(All control panel items)/performance information and tools/click advanced tools on the left hand side/view performance details in event log.
this will take you to diagnostics-performance events & boot and shutdown events.
If nothing obvious showing there,at the top of the tree on the left hand side, click on custom views/administrative events.
You might get more information that points to something by selecting details/Friendly & XML view,in the event viewer.
you could also try selecting "event log online"at the bottom of the page.

Tbh guys Im not much of a wizard on computers, don't get me wrong I know my way around one, but I am not no expert. ATM I have had a frustrating day (and family problems which haven't helped), and I am hoping PCS have some answers to what is happening.

£1700 for a gaming computer which cannot play games for more then 20mins. It's not good is it :(

Looks like PCS will have to take it away and repair it, there is definitely a faulty component which is doing this.

If it can be found out what is wrong, if it's a hardware failure then depending what it is they may just send you the replacement bits and you will be able to install it yourself (with their help if required) - though this depends what it is that needs changing and whether you feel confident in doing it yourself (with their help or without it).

You need to calm down for a minute and count to 10. Give PCS a chance to sort your problem out. Five posts in half an hour isn't going to help and only winds yourself up.

Sorry, I'm just really frustrated (as i've been trying to fix it all day), I'm just hoping its something simple. Rakk - do you know any ways in which I can check my components to see which one is faulty?

I am sorry to hear that those things are not sorting the problem and the horrible thing with PC's is when they don't run right they are a pain in the butt to sort out, as Vanthus posted maybe something in the background is causing problems do you have any other programs open when you are gaming like media player/itunes, any monitoring software or anything else and what AV/firewall are you using if you are using a seperate firewall make sure the windows 1 is disabled and sorry if you tried all this already but just trying to get as much of the simple stuff out of the way.

Other things you can try are maybe a full reinstall and maybe reseating the GPU and Ram incase they got disturbed during transit.
