Just got this gaming laptop ordered. Anyone fancy taking a look over it and letting me know what they think? Or what I should expect?

I wouldn’t advise the hybrid drive you’ve got as the 1st M2. They perform worse than a standard M2 but cost more, they’re not very good drives.

A Samsung NVME or the standard PCS one would be far better. And 500gb as the OS / game drive is basically essential.

You’ll need the enhanced thermal paste.

Thanks for that! I didn't know if the enhanced thermal paste would actually make a difference! If it does then I'll add that on at the least. And i'll look into the drives.

Changing the Memory(RAM) to (2 x 8GB) should increase the memory speed as the i7 10875H processor has 2 memory channels and can access both SODIMMs at once. Cannot check if the motherboard get in the way of this. Each SODIMM if 8 bytes wide so for example 2 x 8GB @ 2133MHz by 8 bytes = 34.128 GB/s memory bandwidth which is faster than 1 x 16GB @ 2666MHz by 8 = 21.328 GB/s bandwidth and is £11 cheaper. The option of 2 x 8GB @ 2666 is $6 more expensive.

always buy RAM in pair (2x4GB, 2x8GB, 2x16GB), there is a gain in speed (above 5%) in accesses
for the first disk, get a 500MB Samsung, you'll get both speed and plenty of space to install games and apps

Cheers guys. I’ve upgraded the first SSD to a 500GB Samsung drive and switched from one 16GB of RAM to two 8GB’s. Thanks for the advice. Still very very new to all of this
