Unfortunately, INTEL 13th and 14th generation laptops are not recommended due to well-documented issues.

Intel 13th and 14th Gen confirmed defective

So there's been a lot of upset gathering steam on the inter webs with intermittent games crashes on Intel 13th and 14th gen. Workarounds range from underclocking to disabling ecores. BUT, there are a lot of people finding that simply disabling hyperthreading is a proper solution. The findings...

At the time, the only AMD alternative available is the IONICO, which has a very low-end GPU (4060) and I wouldn't recommend it for a gaming laptop.

What's your max budget, anyway?

Thanks. Max budget £1500ish. I also looked at the Elimina 17.3.

Have also been looking on cyberpower.

If you don't mind having a 4060, which is a weak gaming GPU (especially at QHD resolution), this IONICO is the only AMD laptop I could possibly recommend. I would strongly avoid INTEL laptops at the moment.

Just to note, the HP Omen 17" with Ryzen 7 8845 HS and RTX 4070 is available from HP at 1399.99. Memory is 2 x 8gb and there's 1tb m2 storage. Seems a decent option?
