Any advice is welcome, I also am wondering if it might be ok to choose a Rtx 2060 GPU (I included the new 3060 ti for future proofing) or to choose an AMD GPU like the 5700 which would lower the cost by quite a bit. My doubt on AMD is that I heard of many issues concerning fan speed and temperature, plus something model-specific about noise.

thank you in advance!

Any reason you're choosing an Intel build? AMD are the better choice as they outperform Intel in almost every category.
We are currently at quite an unfortunate time for 1080p gaming, with the 2060 being discontinued, and the 3050 and 3060 (non ti) yet to launch. A 3060ti is overkill for 1080p, and putting it in your build means that you've had to use other cheaper parts to compensate.
I reckon you have 3 options.
Get this build with a 1660 super, and it will handle all of the games you've listed above except for Cyberpunk.
Wait until the end of February for the 3060 to come out and order then (or wait even longer for the 3050, which would be a more appropriate GPU)
Blow the budget out of the water and opt for a 1440p 144hz build keeping the 3060ti.
There are always multiple factors that go into determining a build, and you need to decide whether you want to prioritise getting the PC ASAP, being able to play Cyberpunk (far more demanding than the other titles you listed above), and keeping the build within budget.

Edit: The 2060 is back in stock, that will be the best fit for your needs.

Ok, so specced you up an AMD build with a 2060. This should handle your needs. Build should last 7-10 years with room to upgrade to 1440p down the line.

Hi Mate, would this PC you've recommended be be good for games such as Warzone, CoD Cold War, CSGO? I'm wanting to get a PC instead of PS5 but havent a clue.

Also noticed you havent got an operating system on the build? Why is this?

Hi mate, I've specced this build based on OP's requirements.

If you would like advice on a build, please start your own thread, and don't piggyback other people's threads :)

@MrWilson thank you for your advices mate!

I chose Intel because based on my research the i5 10400f is actually quite competitive with AMD counterparts (R5 3600 and 3600X) in terms of performance (even if just for gaming, which is what I need) and price. Do you not agree?

Do you think a R5 3600 (X or not) paired with a B550 MOBO is a better choice than a i5 10400f with a Z490 MOBO? The price is similar (a little in favor of intel).

I am considering to wait for the new GPUs, that's good advice. I'm also thinking to opt for a 2060, which should do the job well enough.

Thank you also for your build, however there is an issue with price. The price you see form my build is 1300 but I would actually pay about 1065 Euros because I can recover the VAT which in Italy is 22%.

About ssd: is the PCS m.2 1 TB actually similar to intel's one in terms of reliability and speed?

PSU: is there a big difference between the one in your proposed build and mine? I really don't know anything about PSUs..

Regarding budget, please could you post a link to your build so I can double check what the budget is? VAT might be confusing me.

@MrWilson has specced the 5600 which will blow the I5 out of the water (did you read the link that he posted re AMD v Intel)

Re the PCS M.2 it is more reliable than the intel one which has a history of a short life span (I've 2 of the PCS ones in my desktop & 1 in my laptop

The PSU has higher capacity so you have the option to upgrade to 1440p in a few years time. The RMx models also run quieter and cooler than the TXm models.

Even if you 100% want an Intel CPU, the next gen is released in about 6 weeks.

While still an Intel broken architecture it will be far better than current intel CPU’s and fix some of the numerous security issues with Intel architecture.

PSU change is just what is required.

This is the link for the original build:

This is a link for a new build I made inspired by yours.

Look at the price "excluding VAT" --> my budget is about 1000 Euros to 1050 Euros

Thank you guys for your suggestions. I will stick with the PCS ssd for sure, while I am not sure about the PSU, I should stick with the RMx then?

I see! Nono, I'm not biased for intel, just for price/performance (in gaming) haha

Downgrading to the 3600x and a 550 mobo gets you within budget. The RX 5000 series is a bit temperamental, they had a lot of driver issues at launch and it’s still a bit risky. The 2060 is available and is the better choice.

I think it does, but I'm not sure what performance cost ray tracing would have on a 2060. Anyways, that's something to consider, too!
Cyberpunk utilises Ray Tracing correct? If that is something you might want to consider, then you need an NVIDIA RTX card....AMD only the new GPUs have RTX (and are way above your budget and screen level)

Thank you again!

I can't seem to find out if that MOBO has already wifi on it, or if it has just compatibility with wifi. Do you happen to know that? Because I need to connect on a wifi network. My previous choice was the cheapest (Prime version) of the 550 mother boards along with Intel's wifi network card.

If you needed to stay in 1000 Euros budget, what would you sacrifice on?

Honestly, I wouldn't compromise any further. This is pretty much the bare minimum I would spec. If you swap in some cheaper parts it will be false economy because they will need replacing in the long run. Unfortunately Covid has caused every component to increase in price due to supply chain shortages.
