Hi folks,
I love games, but not a hardware guy. I’m looking to change my PC which is creaking a bit on newer games in the next few months. I like GeForce based on good experiences, and tho my current processor is an Intel, I’m not wed to it (looking at the forums here AMD are getting some love at the mo). I’ve seen the fact there are new gen GeForce cards coming soon, so I can wait for those if that’s the wise thing to do.
Games-wise I play a mix from oldies like Rising Storm 2, to Elite Dangerous, AC Odyssey, to Red Dead 2. I’m planning on playing the hell out of CP2077 being an old school TT RPG fan of the setting, so some ray tracing is a must. I’m also interested in The new MS Flight Sim.
My monitor is a AOC AGON AG271QG 27“ that natives at 2560 x 1440. So a fast smooth FPS at 1440 is my target, but if I can hit 4K potential in my budget I can look to change the monitor later on at some point.
I do a bit of image editing on the side, but that’s not a priority. Cool and quiet is more important as fan noise gets on my wife’s nerves.
Rather than take a stab at a spec and miss the mark, could I please ask the gurus here for their thoughts on the best spec I can get for 2500 or a little over? I can stretch to £3000 for the right rig if it makes a big enough difference in longevity and performance.
Thanks!
Shane
