Gaming PC spec, any recommendations?

Apart from the damn Asus RTX 3080 which I am just gonna wait for ( I am on day 37 ) any thing I missed?
Will be using it on FPS where frames are king, for now it will be on a 144hz 1080 monitor until I upgrade to 4k

Intel is a poor choice. Cooler not good enough. Silver warranty at least. Strange choice of primary ssd with the 980 available.

What monitor so you have and what's your budget?

You need to go for a 5900x amd build. Not only are they hugely better, but they also have the 980 m2 available.

The build is coming in at around 2600 I would think max to spend on monitor at moment is £300. The 1080p 144mhz MSI little monitor is very good so can hang on to it for a while

If you're not getting a 1440p superwide or a 4k 144hz display to go with this PC it's not worth getting a 3080.
Downgrade to the 3070 or 3060ti and get a 1440p 144hz monitor to go with it.

You could cancel and get an AMD build with a 3070 and it'll likely be at your old door before your Intel build with the STRIX would arrive.
