Hi,

After configuring parts, I have reached the following setup. Could you suggest if I have selected anything wrong/over the limit/under the system will support?

1. Is Motherboard ok for CPU & GPU?
2. Is the CPU cooler fine for the current setup?
3. Is the Power Unit sufficient for the current setup?
4. Does Motherboard have a decent LAN port?

Thank you.

Hi there,
Build looks pretty solid, but could do with a couple of adjustments.
Before I answer your questions, please could you let us know your budget, what you are going to be using the PC for, and what monitor are you pairing this with?

Couple of questions:
What's it going to be used for?
What monitor is it going to be hooked up to
Whats the budget

Hi mate, I've made a couple of changes

Changed the RAM to 3200Mhz, when it comes to gaming there is no difference between the 3600Mhz and the 3200Mhz that PCS use due to clock speeds. Basically the 3200Mhz is CL16 and the 3600Mhz is CL18 which means when it comes to gaming these are basically identical

Changed you're storage set up complete to allow two M.2 SSD's. These are so much faster than SATA now that I barely recommend using SATA SSD's at all

Went for the 850W PSU to give you head room especially if you're planning to use a 3080. Note on the 3080 can you let us know what monitor you'll be using? The 3080 needs something like the Samsung G9 to make full use of it's power but if you're not going to be spending that much on a monitor we can make significant savings by going with a 3070 or 3070Ti

Changed the CPU cooler to the Elite version, it comes with the Corsair Commander which is worth it and more than enough for the CPU

Silver warranty is always worth a fiver

@all

Hi, thanks for all the responses.

Basically, I'm using this for full gaming purposes only. Not a lot of games but just 10-15 games in mind at max (eg. COD, WOWS, Battlefield). So just 2 TB storage.

Monitor wise, currently I just want to use my old monitor (AOC E2450SWHK 23.6 inch Widescreen) before upgrading to wide resolution as this rig is already taken so much of budget. Occasionally playing some of the games on my 4K TV. So just getting 3080 so that I can purchase a good monitor in 3-4 months' time. I hope games on 4k TV run smoothly or any idea.

Initially, the budget was around <= £2000, but already squeed above it, but maybe little headroom if it improves significantly.

@Steveyg thanks, m2 SSD was a good suggestion.

Just wondering, does the system need 850 PSU because when I proceed it says the system needs only max 700, and 750 is fine.

Just to clarify for you, a monitor that is going to make the most of the 3080 is going to set you back at least £800. If you're happy forking that much out in a few months then the above build by @Steveyg will be ideal for your uses.
Alternatively if you downgraded the GPU to something like the 3070/ti you can pair that with a lovely 1440p Ultrawide display such as the AOC CU32G2X that I'm packing and enjoy a great immersive gaming experience. The AOC monitor can be had for around £450. Additionally, in not going for the 3080 your order would likely go into build in around 4-5 weeks, as opposed to the 4-5 months you could potentially be waiting for the highly sought after 3080.
Ultimately, it's your choice, but either of those options would be solid for me depending on your budget.

You also want minimum 20% overhead on your PSU, if it says you need 700W then 750W would be cutting it very close and have the PSU running flat out all the time

You wouldn't want your car running on high revs constantly so you shouldn't want your PSU to do the same. Minimum I would recommend on a 3080 build is 850W

3080 and monitor pairing is important, depending on how much you're willing to spend will determine whether or not the 3080 is the GPU for you. The 3070/3070Ti could suit perfect if you're planning to spend around £500 on a monitor

No one has answered about the LAN: the Tuf X570 has gigabit ethernet. This is certainly speedy enough for most domestic scenarios, unless you are running a home network with discrete storage devices, etc.

If you need faster, I'd suggest the Strix B550 as it has 2.5Gb/s ethernet, or you could buy a NIC for around £35.
