Gaming PC to run CU34G2X/BK Ultrawide

Hello, it's my first time ever buying a proper gaming PC. I'm not a heavy triple A gamer (on PC), partially because maybe I never had a proper machine. I'm looking to get something now - that matches my current ultrawide monitor. This spec is probably way above what I usually play now (MMORPG), but I'd like something to last for a while and to be used in case I go for a triple A game without having to upgrade something. And also because of the monitor resolution.
Beside gaming I'd also use for some software development activities (Visual Studio, compiling and etc).

Any help I could get would be very much appreciated!

Hi there! You're not far off with the build there. But... I have the same monitor and it's running like a dream with the 3070 so I'd suggest dropping the GPU down to that and using the savings to up the PSU to cover future upgrades, tweaking the storage so you've got one M.2 as a boot drive and another for fast storage, and investing in a more efficient cooling solution.

@AgentCooper I changed to the 3080 last minute (aka, right before posting the spec). I had the 3060ti but after looking some videos online I made the "upgrade". But I'm happy to know that the 3070 will do the trick! As for the processing cooling...that is definitely something that I have no clue to be honest, so thanks for also pointing that out.

As for the case...is the TD500 a good choice or is there a better option noisy-wise for example and for cooling (any need for extra fans)?

So that's what I have so far (going for 32GB was a personal decision, even though it wasn't strictly necessary).

I have been reading other posts too, trying to compare and some of the comments I see are around the SSD drive. Is it better to have a 980 as 1st for the OS and the 970 for games? Any other recommendation based on the spec below? Total cost is around €2800 now (I could go to 3k max).
