i was looking at that i might switch it i just didnt know how much better it was when comparing the two
For gaming the 5800X kills the 3900X, for high high workload the 3900X will outperform the 5800X. Unless you really need the 12 cores, the 5800X is the way to go. Also the cooler will keep it cooler and therefore... more boosts etc.

With a H115i, strix 3080 and all those fans, the temps should be great

I will switch it to the 5800X as I will be using this for gaming if that is the case :D

If you look at the gaming benchmarks the Ryzen 7 series have a decent performance increase in gaming terms. You could drop to the Ryzen 7 in the 5800x and with the 3080 you'll have a beast.
