Define "on VGA"?

As in, "VGA Graphics Adapter", I have to go into safe mode, uninstall teh GTX 470 driver, reboot, and work on my PC in VGA Graphics Adapter mode (ie no Nvidia driver)

Here is what happens:

Whats odd is the HDD is still buzzing away and generally seeming active, it just seems the GPU wont kick in and load up my desktop :S

The MS Standard VGA Adaptor one i guess, you confuse me with your inaccurate description, i thougt you wouldnt be on about a VGA connection surely.

New card arrived, installed drivers, rebooted, logged in without any issues. Pray it be the last GPU lol... otherwise i'm gonna start thinking this place is cursed or something.
