I thought I would pop in and say hello, just placed an order for a Lafité IV laptop that I hope to get Linux mint working on, well I will give it my best shot ! Bit of background, I'm a linux nut, have a background in electronics and development, owned a few branded laptops that often felt lacking, I run a media server and pfsense and tinker a lot with development boards and Arduino and so far have only blown one thing up !

I thought I was clued up about the computer scene but some of the people on these forums make me feel like a rank amateur, the stuff they know is very impressive so I have a big learning curve ahead
