Help building laptop that can run total war games

Hi everyone
Im looking at getting a new gaming laptop. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a build that would run the total wars games at a stable 60fps. looking for something that could also run state of decay 2 and Mordhau at a stable 60fps thanks

Disk isn’t important, you just need to tie the license to your Microsoft account:

For £1500 you could get something very Powerful.

If portability/ battery isn't a main concern check out the nova series, they have desktop AMD processors up to 12 cores and 24 threads.

I wont lie, I have no idea what any of that really means. Yeah thats about my budget. Im just not sure what sorta cooling systems they have in there laptops? On the config screens for the laptops here they dont really tell you much about how hot they might run :/. Im not to fussed about battery or portability life. I do have a oculus rift s so would like to be able to use that on the laptop. my bedroom where my desktop is doesn't really have that much room. so having a laptop that i can move into the lounge easy would good.

Took the liberty of building you something

You could upgrade to a more powerful cpu for an additional 70 or a more powerful gpu for 80
Selected a 2 tb storage device however you may not need so much space so could reduce to 1tb and have room to upgrade adding another nvme SSD later or a 2.5 inch SSD.

The savings could go towards more powerful GPU.

Also went for 16gb of ram as that it's plenty and should last for a good few years.

thanks you two for the help. I’m at work at the moment will give them both a proper look over when I get home. I can see both of them don’t offer the artic paste ? I thought that would of been important

On a DTR the enhanced paste is included by default.

I don't think there's a 17 inch system with equivalent specs are the moment.


Which is a shame as I'd of preferred 17 for my own build.
