Hi, I have just reloaded an Optimus Pro11 laptop thanks to a Microsoft update issue. As I'm unable to download my rebuild iso file from PCS I have used the latest one from the Microsoft store
The reload is now working but I am left with three devices in device manager that I simply cannot find drivers for..
PCI Data Acquisition and Signal processing Controller
PCI Device
SM Bus Controller

Is there anybody out there that has had this issue and can point me in the right direction?

have you run windows update repeatedly till it finds no more updates
Hi Martin,
The only update available is the cumulative update for H2 which I'm trying now. Shame is I think it was that that broke the O/S in the first place. I've only had the machine just over a week!!

That's the chipset drivers you will be missing.

Is it an Intel CPU that you have? If so, go to the Intel Downloads site and you should be able to search for the latest chipset drivers for your model.

You should be able to get them from your PCS account too but how up to date they are is potentially an unknown. I would just get them from the source :)

Hi Scott,
used the intel chipset assistant software to identify the system so downloaded and installed the drivers suggested....guess what? no change, still got the three devices with no drivers but wireless, Bluetooth and Intel graphics all got updated.

All that's left other than that is the specific laptop chipset drivers, which can sometimes be different in a custom chassis.

Is the Optimus a Clevo chassis? The only thing I can think of is to install the Clevo control panel, or whichever control panel is related to your system.

Again, this control panel should be in your account for download. It would be worthwhile checking for an update via the direct website though.

Whole machine just locked up on me and I had to power off. I think I'm going to have to restore the system again after making the latest changes

You may find that was a background update in progress from Windows. It's unlikely for it to lock out while just being used, it's likely a driver conflict that's caused it.

When you restored the system, did you do a full clean install right down to deleting the partition and wiping the drive?

The only stuff I have available in my account download area is the windows iso file and I can't download that as it keeps failing after 1Gb of data....even tried downloading on another machine...same problem. Nothing else in there. Don't want to sit in a queue of 30+ callers to ring tech support!! Even thinking of returning it for them to reload :(

I wouldn't do it via the ISO anyway. It will be out of date.

That's really unusual. Are there any other areas in your account you can see that may have other downloads?

Can you confirm if the Chassis is Clevo? It should be on the sticker underneath the laptop. If you can let us know the model of the laptop chassis we can help find the correct drivers.

Wow, since I last looked this morning I now have a whole raft of driver files in my download area. I think i'll have a play with those and then update this thread with the results.
Thanks Scott and Martin for your help.

Hi Codie, I have the same issue here - large downloads keep failing: Win10.iso, Nvidea drivers etc..
Did you find a fix for the non-resumable download fails?

Cheers
