@AgentCooper - Me again, sorry :giggle:

This Acer monitor - i notice it uses FreeSync... Is that ok with the NVIDIA GPU that has been selected in the build?

(sorry if that's a stupid question but just trying to educate myself on it all)

And I've found that cracking Acer monitor on sale again!

So i've ordered the monitor, all good - just went to order this spec PC and the case is no longer on the list lol 🥴

Which case do i need to get instead? (ideally something quiet)

What a pain!

I'd probably lump for the Corsair iCue 5000X as an alternative. I love the Fractal Meshify C but it ain't the quiestest case.

Or you can go 5000D Airflow and add 3 LL120 fans (£33 more expensive than the 5000X, but better performance).

Lovely - thanks again

Do i have to specify where the 3x extra fans are to be mounted btw or will PCS just pick the best place for me?

They should mount the LL120’s in the front, the AIO on the roof with another case fan and then there will be a rear exhaust fan i’d imagine.

I was under the impression that the 5000X case is basically the 5000D case but with the RGB fans (which are also a new model "elite" ones)?

X has Glass vs Airflow panel on front and top. The airflow has better cooling - although the difference between the D airflow and X is bigger in the 4000 cases

No :(
But you can buy your own case and send it in, so if you wanted the white versions you can get it.

I'm guessing PCS don't do the cases in white? - everything in my man cave is white
PCS doesn't stock the white versions of the Corsair 4/5000 cases. But you could always buy one and have it sent directly there. Although PCS has great prices for their cases so you'd be paying a lot more for the same case in white

They used to use things called Pit Sheets... and for various reasons these had to be kept for three months, its not just breaks, its got staff allocations and table results etc.

So, when they finally put computers in, this all switched over to excel.
When he made a mistake, rather than just re-typing he very carefully got a pot of tipex and filled in the little square on the screen so he could write over the top of it...

For over a decade afterwards, if you ever mentioned it to him he would go bright, bright red, throw a tantrum and storm out claiming it never happened. Only problem is several of us were there when he did it!

(Anyone who has worked in the same industry as me will now instantly recognise what business it is, and is going to be wetting themselves)
