Wait....are you sure? I have a 3800XT (so lower spec cpu) on a strix 570X running 3600MHz?

It states the same on the 3800XT.... ( https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-7-3800xt ) so maybe its something to do with xmp profiles?
I'm definately running 3600MHz I would suspect the same would be possible on the 3950X

Well after sitting on the phone for half an hour waiting to get through I spoke to technical and he confirmed that 3600 would not be ideal for the 3950x and to keep the speed just use 1-2 slot of ram,
As I have now picked the 2 x32gb 3000mhz he said would be prefect and the difference between 3200 and 3000 is marginal!!
So there you go
