High-end PC for gaming and 3D art

Hi PCS,

Would someone more knowledgeable than me be kind enough to have a quick look at this build?

Bit of background as to its usage, it'll be used for gaming but also real-time 3D art as well. Its going to be a proper 3D workhorse. Budget-wise we're willing to splash out a bit so not too worried there.

Let me know what you think, I'm not the most knowledgeable in terms of choosing the right motherboard or cooling for example. So if you've got feedback let me know!

Many thanks

Hi, I've read through the page you linked. Did I miss something from my post?

Does anyone have any feedback or input for the build?

Thanks!

Possibly max budget, and whether there's a gaming monitor that you're trying to optimise for (or will it be that single 60HZ ProArt display)?

But just so you are aware, the current gen GPUs have increased price as supply dwindles in readiness for the launch of the new GPUs in Q1 2025. So if you can wait then you may get better value/performance for the money.

Also, if you want the best non-gaming CPU, then it would be the newer 9950X; if you want the best gaming CPU then it would be the 9800X3D. Of course the best of both worlds would be the as yet unreleased 9950X3D (which has the high core count of the 9950X but with the game enhancing 3D v-cache).

But in general, with a high-end workhorse build, I'd want the top-of-the line motherboard (X870E model), PSU (1200RMx Shift or 1500HXi), AIO cooler (Corsair iCUE LINK Titan 360 RX).

Apologies for the late response! Thanks so much for your input, I wasn't aware of the launch of the latest range being so soon in 2025. We can hold off until the new year and save a bit when the GPU market stabilises.

Thanks for the tips on the CPU, Mo-bo and cooling. I'm not fully up to date with those systems so its helpful knowing which would be best.

As for the monitors, I currently have 2 Asus ProArt monitors from work and they're great for what I use them for. I know they're limited to 60hz but they seem good fit. But if you think another monitor would be better then I'd be happy to hear your thoughts
