Hi,

Looking at getting a PC for my son. The use will be for school work and gaming, the usual stuff. Does the below make sense?

Hi,

Thanks for the responses. Yes I brought a PC a couple of years ago. I used that as the template, but I could not find the same spec, so choose something close. This one is for my other child.

In terms of monitor, they are using s standard 22inch 1080p monitor but I think will replace it. Not going down the 4k route yet though. In terms of use, school work, gaming (Fortnite, Minecraft, etc), watching live streams but not streaming himself, group chats with friends. Budget, around £800 mark.

I've cut a lot of corners to get this near the budget. Does this system need a Wi-Fi card? Can it be connected via cable? That would save £23 if yes.

This should manage what you have stated...any more intensive games and it will likely struggle
